The Bush Administration is ignoring the fact that this was an incredibly close and divisive election. George Bush says he has a "mandate" and "political capital" which he intends to use to steer the USA toward the extreme right.

Over 60 million voters did not vote for George Bush, and most if not all do not endorse his policies. They should not be ignored.
